血球系細胞に特異的に発現するチロシンフォスファターゼ (HePTP) の遺伝子をジーンターゲテイングにより破壊した。このノックアウトマウスは正常に発育するが、脾細胞の刺激時におけるERKの活性化が強く見られると言う特徴がある。

Developed by Dr. Haruhiko Suzuki, University of Toronto in 1994. A neomycin selection cassette was inserted into the second exon of the HePTP gene. The HePTP deficient mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6 for 4 times.
B6;129P2-Ptpn7<tm1Bwz>. Hematopoietic protein tyrosine phosphatase (HePTP) is a hematopoiesis-specific cytoplasmic protein tyrosine phosphatase that is induced in primary lymphocytes by extracellular stimuli. This knockout mouse strain is useful for investigating the function of the HePTP gene.
